We have not imported any UK prices yet, so there is nothing to rank. When the first import runs, this list shows new, in-stock offers in pounds, VAT included, cheapest per TB first, with the time each price was recorded. We never fill gaps with estimates.

What to check before you buy

Internal or external. This list includes internal and external 1TB SSDs. Use the filter to compare like with like: an internal M.2 NVMe drive, a 2.5-inch SATA drive and a USB drive are not interchangeable.

1TB is not 1,024GB. Manufacturers count 1TB as one trillion bytes, and part of the space is used by the file system. Samsung and Sandisk both note that usable capacity is lower than the label (Samsung 870 EVO datasheet, Sandisk).

Endurance at 1TB. At this capacity, the Samsung 870 EVO (SATA) and the WD_BLACK SN850X (NVMe) are both rated at 600 TBW with a five-year limited warranty. Endurance and warranty belong in the comparison, not just price.

Interface. SATA SSDs are rated at about 560 MB/s; PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives at several thousand MB/s (for example up to 7,300 MB/s for the SN850X 1TB). If your device has an NVMe slot, the speed difference often costs little extra per TB — compare it here once prices are in.

For a PS5. A 1TB drive is within Sony’s supported range of 250GB–8TB, but it must be a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe drive with a cooling structure such as a heatsink or heat transfer sheet (Sony).
